Covid creates

I think we all can say that Covid has created a different world. We may THINK things are back to normal but the truth is that 2 + years of Covid has changed people’s behaviours. It’s changed what they do, how they do and why they do. The Art world has also been affected. Many people are still buying things online. It’s difficult to really SEE art online. There’s a lot of work to try to take a photo that highlights everything you want to highlight. And for me - so much of my art is better seen in natural light - in person. So I went on the outdoor market!! Most Saturdays you will find my (VERY) colourful stall on the High Street in High Wycombe.

And it’s been fun! The market people have been so encouraging and the other traders are friendly and helpful. The best part is - people can SEE my Art. It’s not a photo online. The crafts aren’t seen and not touched. Although I’ve had to put the felted sculptures into plastic bags because they WERE being touched - A LOT! I love that Art is tactile. I love that Art is visual. I love that Art touches people. If you’re ever in High Wycombe, on a Saturday, come by my stall - it’s sure to make you smile!
